Any one know if you can disable the automatic steering wheel adjustment feature. Everytime I get in/out my GS400 the steering wheel adjust. I like to turn that feature off. Thanks.
Why? just a little curious...it's something that I like about my car.
It being mechanical, moving object, some people have had it break in the past. So some have opted to have it disabled by the dealer by the c best settings.
Exactly, , I know it will eventually break so I'd like to disable it, I don't have it in my wifes es330 and its not a feature I really desire in my GS400. I'm kinda of scared it will break and be stuck in a position that will force me to pay the dealer a lot to fix.

If you're really against it, your only bet is to go through the dealer on that one, as its a C BEST option. They will charge you though. Call around a few dealers beforehand. Not sure if they charge per C BEST change, or if you can do a bunch at the same time for the same price, but I think it's like $50-70.
It broke on my GS, lucky me that it got stuck in the perfect driving position
It used to get stuck in the fully up position for days, image driving like that
Pull off the cover (few screws) below the steering wheel, look for a small control box attached to the steering rack and it will have 2 lots of wires.
You should find 1 connector with 2 black wires. Short these together. This will stop the steering wheel from always returning to the park position. You keep the reach/rake part working
Get a Scotch-lok connector and open up the 1/2 closed second channel if you dont like the idea of stripping wires.
To prove to yourself that this shorting is correct, get a multimeter to these black wires and you will see that they short when you put the key into the ignition.
