I got pulled over yesterday, for having HKS Hyper Exhaust. The cop said and wrote me a warning ticket for "improper muffler". Keep in Mind I have nothing else mod apart from HKS muffler. So now I'm hearing that every cop that pulled behind me and checks my plate, will see this "Improper muffler" and then give a ticket. What do I do? The before harassment starts.

I'm not sure how things work up there but when I got pulled over for my neons, the cop didnt give me a repair order so i had to go to court. and when i showed up with a bunch of pics of them removed from off my car i made him look like an *** and the judge threw out the case. i say if u got some shot off ur car before u installed the exhaust just print em out take em to court and you should be good....unless u get pulled over again.

I can get it approved but i dont know how to get by doing it. I see that HKS does not deal directly with the public so i might have to go with Sewell or carson, I cant remember who sold them to me!!, But yea they should email me or send me an approval letter

Its a warning (fix it, no fine), basically, if popo behind me punches my plate# CHECK MUFFLERS CHECK MUFFLERS CHECK MUFFLERS sirens go off. Ohh Still haven't changed your mufflers, here is a $110 ticket. Then a lil later another popo somewhere else behind me punches my plate Sirens go off again and $110. Now it becomes harassment.

That sucks.... I have a Borla exhaust and I had the mufflers painted black. Only the exhaust tips are shiny and polished and looks like OEM but larger. I did this on purpose so I don't get harassed by the police. Plus, the HKS is a huge, noticeable aftermarket exhaust.

Yes they are huge, The tip is 4.7 inches in dia. But they don't even sound like they are loud. And the worst part of it is that mustangs have even worse noise out of them than hks and mustangs are factory.
