I can't do the deal right away. I'll have to pass on the one in west hills.

Thanks for the info!

I very highly recommend Lexus of Concord. That's where I just bought my GS, and they had several used ones on the lot too. Their customer service just blew me away!

I've seen the prices at the dealers. I don't think I want to pay $38k for a 99' model that has almost 50k miles. Especially when the trade-in book value of the GS4 is about 3k more then a GS4.

umm that's a very nice deal. i think it's comparable to the one i am considering now.... the car i am consideirng only has 32k miles but no mods. i like the mods on that car specially the level 10 tranny, that really blinks.

btw, meanboy, if you wanna get used gs4, i highly suggest you finding it in south cali rather than north cali. prices are cheaper down there and you got lots more choices.

I don't know if buying a used car at the Lexus dealer is any better then buying it from a private party or other dealers because they pick up the majority of their cars through auctions. I used Carfax and ran many of the GSs vin numbers and saw a lot of them were purchase through Pacific Auction(this is from memory; I could be wrong about the name)

There seems to be no end of the GS's going off lease and hitting the dealers. I e-mailed Lexus financial six months ago about buying a car before it hits the auction house but they referred me to the Lexus dealership.

Has anyone used an auto dealer to buy one for him/her at in an auction?

I noticed that you live in monterey. That's quite a drive to concord. They must really be good.

I worked with every Lexus dealer in the Monterey/San Jose/San Francisco area. Concord was the one who hit my price target and seemed to deal the most honestly. It was worth the drive!

I'm going to bring it there at least for the first free service. They had not yet gotten my L-Tuned steering ECU or black pearl emblems, so when I get that 1,000 mile checkup they're going to take care of those items as well. They offered to ship them to the Monterey dealer, but one of their service techs actually won the competition last year as the BEST tech in all of Lexus. He got a free trip to Japan among other things! Since he installed all of my other L-Tuned items, I wanted to let him finish the job...

Sounds like a very impressive dealership. I wonder if your tech is good at interior work. I think I need my dash replaced and the rattles researched.
