Default Opinions Needed!

Well I know everyone's got one and most two or three. But I need some opinions on my wheels. I've have an '01 GS3 the wheels are chromed '07 GS4 wheels. I just bought some new tires and the tech stripped the chrome off a 4 inch section around the outside of the rim. Well of course I complained. They are looking into a new wheel or re-chroming the wheel. I want to opinions on whether to have it re-chromed or powder coat all 4. The chrome on the other 3 is 4 years old and these are 4 season wheels in Ohio. So lots of salt and course sand on the roads. They aren't in terrible shape but close up don't look knew. So can I get some pic's and thoughts about the color and re-chrome or not. Thanks!

Thanks for the link! I think Sleeper408's look good, but a little dark for my taste. I think the gunmetal/titanium color will suit me better. Now I just have to see what the dealer is going to do for the repair costs! If you want it done right do it yourself! Only problem is I can't mount tires.... if only...

It looks great and Sleeper408 states that the wheels don't really look that dark as it was just the lighting when he took the pics.

^ Chrome here and there is nice, but anymore than a chrome trim piece (wheels, mirrors, tint) and it looks stupid.

Our cars came from the factory with all the chrome it needs aside from the trunk bar and door handles.

I think I agree with the masses. I hope to powder coat a light gunmetal. I first have to see what the shop is going to do for me. Sounds like they want to replace the chrome one. If they do I will probably eBay it. That will pay for the powder coat pretty easily. Anyone else have any pics?

I'm not anti-chrome (I've got chrome wheels on my car) but I've never been a big fan of chrome wheels on a silver car. I think you're on the right track with light gunmetal or even hyper-silver.
