Unhappy Nasty intake ports.

So I was replacing my starter and noticed my intake ports. They are dirty as all heck. I clean and recharge my K&N filter regularly and change my oil and filter every 4k. I have a new OEM air filter that will be replacing the K&N. What can I do to clean these ports? Would a 3 step fuel system cleaning service do the job? It's hard and crusty, not like oil build up.

very dirty.. my intake manifolds were that dirty too

K&N filter seems to do this..esp. if you go overboard with the filter oil. check your throttlebody as well...i bet its just as dirty too.

Run seafoam through the booster? Not sure if it's an option on these cars, but that's how I do it on my other cars. Usually one application is not enough as you have to keep your car running or it will kill. And it has to soak into the gunk for it to remove it.

Otherwise...people flame me for this on here....

I have been doing this for over a year with no ill effects.

Add 1 oz of 2 cycle synthetic oil (I use Amsoil) for every 5 gallons of gas you put in. I put in 10 gallons and add 2 ozs. It cleans everything with harming the engine. My whole intake ports, valves, tops of my pistons are clean. No carbon buildup whatsoever.

I have a link at home, I can post if you're interested. It does not harm any 4 stroke engine as long as you do not add too much, but if you add too little it does nothing.

We don't have a vacuum line to out booster. Our booster is hydraulic. The 3 step is similar to seafoam. And my TB wasn't that dirty. Although I did clean it up quite a bit. This stuff is just caked and baked on.

Sometimes I wonder if I overdue it when oiling up my K&N. MAF/TB cleaning is in the works for this spring.
