Default Transmission problem?

My car did something really weird this morning. It has happend a few times before, and now I think something has to be done. I was backing out of my garage and put the car in drive to take off. The car went forward but the engine reved really high. There was some power, but not like usual. There was a slight bump and then everything was normal. Its done this maybe 3 or 4 times before, but i've never really thought anything of it. It drives completely normal after. If anyone knows what this might be please let me know. I just had the car serviced and they didnt say anything. Hopefully it nothing big.

Another Toyota Floormat issue?

Have you checked the MAF lately? Get some MAF cleaner and spray it off.

Check your plugs lately? Pull one and see what it looks like.

It sounds like an idle problem more than a trans problem. IMO.

Just to clarify: It almost feels like the car is stuck between neutral and drive. Some power is available, but the engine also revs like it's in neutral.

my lex had similar symptoms when it was low on tranny fluid. As soon as the fluid got warm, the car worked ok.
