Default Tires keep wasting - help!!!

Around April of 2009 I installed an Eibach Pro Kit on my '01 GS 300 (1" drop all around basically) - also put on a set of Staggered 20's as well - the tire sizes are 245 up front and 275 in the rear - all four of my tires are wearing out FAST on the inside - especially the front - on my 3rd set of tires in less than a year.

Does anyone know how to solve this expensive problem?????

Thanks,
Ron

Yeah, get an alignment. Because the Eibach kit is a mild drop, you shouldn't need a camber kit...

Check the other suspension parts like ball joints and what have you....Better yet are you sure that you haven't blown out your shocks?

The Shocks were replaced about a month before the Suspension went on - I guess I'm just going to have to get it aligned AGAIN!!!

Yeah you might want to take it to someone that you trust also because some alignment shops might not want to let you know what's wrong, you know job security...Also if your balljoints are bad this could very well be it, however over inflating them could also be it but if it's on the inside specifically Balljoints, inter tie-rods how many miles are on the car?

Bev - Yeah the wear is specifically on the inside and mainly in the front - I do drive a lot - the car has 110,000 on it.

Okay well since it is only on the inside: it could be the ball joints or your wheel bearings might be bad or the springs that you got could be defective and not holding up as advertised however it would seem like everyone on here has had an issue with the 01's with the Ball joints I have even seen safety warning about them, you should check with one of these guys that have been on here for a minute I'm sure one of them with that upgrade should have more insight on your issue.

Ok with any drop your gonna have wear on the inside of your tires. Especially if you drive hard and a lot in the heat. I didnt think that I was gonna have wear like that because I have a 2 inch drop but its gonna wear once you take your wheels out of that factory alignment. Now depending on how severe your tire wear is I would def look into the the other components other members listed. your shocks could be blown and I'm sure that since you have over 100K miles you prolly need upper control arms, lower ball joints, tie rods, rear control arms, and some other stuff. My advice is to take your car to the dealer and get them to tally up a nice bill for you and then tell them you got to go home and think about it. Then bring the list back to Club Lexus and we can guide you in the right direction.
