Oh snap, didnt see you were in Cali... California banned any non mechanic shops from scanning your car! Pretty stupid!!!

HOWEVER, you can rent the tool if I remember correctly and scan it yourself. If not that, I think they sell a $30 scanner you can use.

I love the part of cali im in. Very quiet right on the coast beautiful beaches. Unfortunately 20 years from now it'll turn into places like LA dirty and crowded.

Anyways, i was looking under my hood and i was wondering what this tank is for. It is located on top of the two radiator fans, sorta under the stock ram air intake. My seems to be corroding, theres white crust all of the thing. Do you guys know if its something i should replace?? Thanks

I called Autozones in 3 different counties and they no longer scan codes. Aamco did it for free but they try to get you to get the work done there. Good luck, mines turned out to be an O2 sensor.

Yeah i think so. Mine is really crusty and you cant tell how much fluid is in there. Should it be replaced? and would that cause a cel?

Yeah as Mr. Jokster said above looks like autozone stopped scanning in all of Cali, but in other places like in Ohio (where I'm at), they still scan.

You must have a crystal ball! I need one of those too.

Let's wait until he comes back with a code before we all guess!

I figured it was an o2 sensor. Nothing to worry about.

The p0046 on the other hand. That's a turbo/super charger boost control solenoid... Does the GS even have one of those? o_0
