Check engine light. Help!
Yeah he prob forgot to reset it. He works at a bmw shop so they deal with alot of turbochargers.. makes sense. What should i do to fix my CEL?
I believe you would just have to buy a new o2 sensor for bank 1 sensor 2 and replace the one in the car. Don't know how it is for the GS4, but the GS3's b1s2 could be replaced without even having to jack up the car. Did it myself.
I'd suggest renting an o2 sensor removal tool from Autozone and getting some liquid wrench to make things easier.
It's a quick fix. Basically, you disconnect the battery, unplug the sensor and remove it, install new sensor, and then plug it in. Then connect the battery. The ECU should be reset meaning there will be no CEL. Now drive around to see if the CEL comes back. If it doesn't then you're good to go.

had a CEL code this weekend. it referenced a vacuum leak, o2 sensors, or MAF.
topped tank off with premium gas, make sure cap is tight.
changed air filter
cleaned MAF.
The light went off today.

I had the check engine on for a long time. When I got the car scanned it turned out to be an O2 sensor. I can't remember how much I paid for it but I know for certain it was not that big of a deal. If any one is looking for one; I recommend qeautoparts.com. they have a huge selection of Lexus parts. Good luck everyone.
