How to replace floodlights???

Default How to replace floodlights???

I recently had my 2003 Lexus GS300 fixed after an accident and when I got home I noticed it had yellow floodlights. Weeeeell, I never noticed that before but since I can't prove it after speaking with them I let it alone. Maybe it did have yellow floodlights; I just never noticed. Any way, I want to change them out to regular lights that match the headlights.

1. How hard is it to change out the floodlights on a 2003 Lexus GS300?

2. How do you do it?

3. What tools, etc.. would I need?

um, we dont have floodlights. we (the 2001+) have yellow FOGlights.... simple to change 2 screws on the front, kneel down, unscrew and change. i will buy them from you if you wanna sell them, i need a NON leaking passenger one btw

any pics?

very very easy to change, as the others said, just kneel down with a standard screw driver and remove the 2 screws, then gently pull it out. thats it. i just changed mine to ultra led lights and they look good. in all, less than 5 minutes

y led? i changed mine to 4300k HIDS

Pretty easy, its a yellow capsule you can remove it. IMO i <3 the yellow.

Thanks for all the advice! Would you say the headlights are as simple!?! Or is that a no-no? I recall the mechanic mentioning calibration and settings and that scared me.

Okay, now I have a good question. I recently had both of my WHOLE headlights replaced. So the headlight isn't cloudy looking. Is there a way to replace the plastic on the foglights or does the whole light need to be replaced?

The whole housing needs to be replaced. There is a pair up for sale in the classifieds.

OP, please dont decimate a set of yellow fogs to remove the yellow, just buy a set of whites and sell your yellows. easier that way

fogs are glass....just replace them. how bout you post some pics of them so i can see if i even wanna buy them

The foglights are starting to grow on me and I do not plan on getting rid of them. I am now in love.

lame maybe you just couldn't figure out how to calibrate them or unscrew them and just decided to keep them now?

No, the yellow capsule just screws out super easy. You aren't decimating them. Then he can change back when he realizes how cool the yellow is.
