Default Lexus GS430 2002 question (Replacing stock head unit)?

I have a 2002 Lexus GS430 (stock navi/climate control/cd player/tape deck) in other words the whole nine yards head unit. I want to know if you can remove the whole thing and install new unit? I want to install a touch screen tv and state of the art cd player but my only concern is the climate control built into the stock unit. I do not really care about the navigation unit becasue I can get that with the new unit.

If anyone has answer please pot and guide me to right direction?

Thanks,

Beesh

You could buy the head unit from a non nav car and then use the leftover space for your ultra lux setup.

I have the non-navi, and I am thinking of how to do the same thing. I can just leave behind the 1-DIN climate control, but dose anyone make an after market interface for a computer? or for another head unit?
