Correct part #
Hi, I want to give the door actuator a DIY, however, I cant determine what is the correct part # for the Mabuchi motor for my 2003 GS. I see both FC-280PC-22125 and FC 280PT 22125. Can you help me in choosing the right one?
Thanks

I purchased it from tag16c on ebay. I typed in FC 280PT-22125 but i believe tag16c had a different # but it is like a new replacement # that would fit. Just go to ebay and type in FC 280PT-22125 and if you see the seller's name is tag16c it should say something like a replacement part # for FC 280PT-22125.

Just checked my receipt. The Manufacturer Part Number: FC 280PT 22125; and Interchange Part Number: FC 280PC 22125. It means both PT or PC should be the same b/c I had the PC one and it works on my car.
Yeah I replaced it myself not hard at all. I would rate this as 1 but then I am pretty good with little thing to all the way replacing turbo, fuel pump .. etc. on my other cars. The hardest part is probably cutting the box open and replacing the little motor inside. Actually, it is not hard but very time consuming.

Hi forum.
Need some help big time. I proceeded to change the actuator motor today and had to pause because i got to a point that i need some assistance on.
I got to the old motor and upon pulling it out I noticed a black torx looking item on the end of the motor. I could not remove this item. I used a hammer, put it in a vise grip and no luck. Anyone got a suggestion, it was so frustrating being so close but so far.
Additionally, the motor that i bought has a little brass ring around it. Looks just like the images posted by TRD11 in the forum. Should this be removed? How is it removed? Should I have ordered the one w/o the brass item/ring?
Thanks CL

I used a dremel tool to cut it. First I was using the box cutter, but I don't have that patient like some of you guys here, so I just use the dremel tool and cut it out and then I use the glue gun to put them together. Dunno how long it hold hold, but as of now it works like a champ
