i opened my led tail lights before they are easy to open just you need screw and towel but its not worth to fix becuase they will get burned again and again so buy new set of 2003 tail lights and break the cover and use the led cover istead look what i did
you should shave the led cover first 6 hours of work and no more burned led's
i hope i helped you

If you replace the LED's, you might not be able to know what rating of LED's they used, so after you do fix them, you might see those three brighter or dimmer...

on that last note, I have a set of brand new in box '01+ tails sitting here That was actually a good idea that DXB did! You lose having a set of LED's, but you technically have a genuine set of JP tails

as my bro said
i forgot to tell you use a good quality of celicone and after replacing the covers keep your tail lights till the next day without moving them then you can add more celicone to close the small holes just be carefull you dont want wet tail lights

I thought about doing the DIY but Tommy at MusicBox told me he tried and failed. Do they have to be 03? Or just 01+?
