Bad Tint Job - Eclipse Window Tint - Novato Ca
BAD TINT JOB @ ECLIPSE WINDOWS TINT in Novato, CA (northern cali)
Please don't go there. Unprofessional staff and unreliable service.
This was my experience:
The owner wanted cash, so I said fine, I'll bring cash after the
job was done. When I came back to get the car, he refused to give
me an invoice (which I've demanded for my record) according to him,
he does not give invoice on cash deal, so he won't have to report it
as income in his business. Shady business practice.
But what pisses me off was I came back a week after for "touch up"
on those bubbles all around the windows. He did not do them,
instead he made an excuse that my rear passenger windows
were chipped perhaps from a welding job on a door panel which is a b..****
excuse. After, I've raised hell, he suggested that he would remove the film
and put in a new one, but would have to charge me. I told him "Screw you",
that I've regretted taking my GS300 to his one-man shop. The business did
not even give me the "lifetime warranty" that was verbally implied before
they did the work.
What a bunch of unethical & unprofessional ***......
I repeat, don't go there.

take him to court.
tell the judge he asked for CASH so he wouldn't have to report it on his taxes.
ALways go to a reputable place.
I had to get the tint redone on my tacoma twice due to bubbles the place where I went didn't ask me to wait or anything they took my car and in 30 minutes had the window redone. and gave me all the paper work and a nationwide warranty. to me $50 extra is worth future headaches.

I am so **** about tint jobs that I actaully get references from the place before getting the work done. I finally found a place here that does an awesome job...and they just happen to be the same company that does the tinting for the porsche dealership.
If anyone lives in or near Austin, TX, you should go to this place.

Sorry this happened to you...Theirs a couple of thing you can do...
1) were you recomended by someone to take your car there, if so ask that person how they know that guy and have them come with you to work things out.
2) you can see if the police can help you in this situation, I think this can fall under "property damage", if the tints a hampering your vision to drive safely.
3) take the guy to small claims court, but this might cost you more than the tint job itself.
4) just "strong arm" the guy, if you know what I mean.
