hope someone can help me out on this one.if i get outta the house early when my car is still in the shade my tilt/telescoping on my steering wheel wont work if it sits in the sun for a bit it starts working . so when its cold out -no worky, when its warm from the sun-worky worky .anyone had a similar problem or know what should i look at first?
as long as the interior is warm it works fine but when the inside of the car is cold stops working .so when it doesnt work i'll park it in the sun for a bit and it works again.

Yep - I have had the same problem. Wont' work until it warms up. However, it grew to just not working. Switch clicks but no movement and no "whirring" sound. Is this a bad switch or motor? Don't think it's the motor, because ONE time after it was tilted in a more or less drivable position and I had driven it for five hours, I shut the car off and came back out the next morning and it was all the way down but tilted all the way up! and when started, it came out but won't move down. So while this thread is great and encouraging, I am not sure that tearing things down will get this fixed. You are the only one I had found with this same problem. Any suggestions anyone?
i did a quick fix on my own so it wouldnt get stuck in the full up position ; i got it where i wanted it and just unplugged the motor it wont move at all but at least i dont get stuck driving with the steering wheel all the way up...
