problem with tilt when cold

problem with tilt when cold

hope someone can help me out on this one.if i get outta the house early when my car is still in the shade my tilt/telescoping on my steering wheel wont work if it sits in the sun for a bit it starts working . so when its cold out -no worky, when its warm from the sun-worky worky .anyone had a similar problem or know what should i look at first?

I have never experienced this issue at all
maybe it could be your motor that in your steering wheel?

as long as the interior is warm it works fine but when the inside of the car is cold stops working .so when it doesnt work i'll park it in the sun for a bit and it works again.

go to ur nearest Lexus dealership and get a diagnostic but it cost mulla

Try this: Use your finger and press on the key insert see if anything happens.

bad tilt

i did a quick fix on my own so it wouldnt get stuck in the full up position ; i got it where i wanted it and just unplugged the motor it wont move at all but at least i dont get stuck driving with the steering wheel all the way up...
