Need some help with wheel offset

Default Need some help with wheel offset

Hi,

I've searched and also read the "Wheel Fitment Guide 2GS/IS-01-05/SC430" posting. However, the size and offset for set of wheels that I am looking at are not included in that.

Could someone please tell me if these will fit (with no fender modification) on a 01 GS430?

F/R 19X9 +30 245/40/19 //// 19X10 +47 275/35/19

I guess I can also go and have a test fit since it's local but I want to hear what our members say here first.

are you lowered? they should fit good with that setup for stock

Thanks for the input. No it hasn't been lowered yet. What I am afraid is that +47 at the rear.....

thats a high number... dont even worry about it, its gonna sink in.. not poke out, do a bit more research and youll find out

Update: Test fitted with the above mentioned offset today.... won't fit..the fronts have not enough inner clearance....*_*

Back on the hunt again.

I've seen G35 18" Rays as good alternative and I've found a set. However, the sellers has 245/35/19 at the fronts. Anyone could let me know if that's a problem if I plan to lower it with DF/KYB combo?

Sorry, I must have confused myself..... the set I've found is the 19".

So the specs are:
Front
Size: 19x8.0
Offset: +30mm
Weight: 19 lbs
Tire: 245/35/19 instead of the usual 225/40/19

Rear
Size: 19x8.5
Offset: +33mm
Weight: 21 lbs
Tire: 245/40/19

The ones that I tried yesterday were actually 08 Nissan 370z OEM Rays and the fronts are 245/40/19 on 19x9 with +30 offset which it rubs at the inner. I used the Wheel Offset Calculator to compare the 370z and G35. The G35 supposed to have 13mm more inner clearance but then the tires has increased 20mm from the usual 225 to 245.

I know that I can always go to another test fitting, which I will, but want to learn how to determine wheel fitments without physically test fit them. So any comments/advise are welcome.

Uhm ... I'm running 18X9 +42 with 245/40/18 tires with no inner clearance issues and no rubbing issues.

My inner clearance is about 5mm with my current tires.

You should be clearing the inner suspension by 1.2cm MORE than I am for approx 1.7cm/17mm clearance.

THIS IS NOT MY CAR. The circled area was exactly where the top of the inner front tire's rubbing. Vehicle was still on jack in the air.

And again, I was trying 245/40/19 +30 19x9 on my 2001 GS430 with stock suspension.

I think 245/40 maybe being too tall/wide at the front?

Am I thinking it wrong? If G35 19" front oem tires are 225/40/19 and the one I tried is 245/40/19, it was 4mm too tall with 19" being constant and 225*.4=90 vs 245*.4=98 (8/2=4mm). Then with both at +30, the 245 probably provides 10mm less inner clearance.....

Man, if I calculated it right then the 245/40/19 19x9 +30 is just barely too wide/tall..... then that's too bad.... maybe 5mm spacer... but I am afraid it will rub the fender on the other side....

Am I thinking right?

My tire guy was saying that all the cals in the world don;t mean squat until you put the car down on the tires .... that's the only time (when the tires are under the full weight of the car) that you'll know if you'll clear.

figure out what you need and spacer it out.
