Default Fuel gauge wrong after lowering

After lowering my car, my fuel gauge doesnt work correctly. The car has left me stranded twice. The first time it said I had a 1/4 of a tank left, and this weekend it was slightly under 1/2 a tank.
Being the car has over 210k miles on it, could it just be coincidence that the sensors are going out after lowering? Or is it because I forgot or did something wrong when I put the coilovers on?
Any help would be great.
I tried searching and didnt find anything to help me.

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, it will reset the fuel gauge.

my car had the same issue after my 80k service at the dealership...

the fuel gauge was over 1/4 and the car just stopped in the middle of the highway !!!
I had it re adjusted in the next service from the dealership...

it might just require readjusting the intank fuel sensor/pump.
