convert gs 430
Yes, there is a way. You just have to be willing to shell out the cash and have time on your hands. I remember on a old episodes of the TLC tv show RIDES, they took a 3UZ-FE motor and put it in a IS300 and mated it to a 6 Speed from a Supra.
check out this CL thread as a closer to home example:

Yay, This guy makes an adapter plate to put a W58 Supra trans into our cars. You use it and the bell housing from your auto trans, a new custom flywheel, and so on. I looke dinto this a while back and thought about it but decided to look for a Sc300 to build for fun. And luxury? lol It's your car, do what you wish with it...some of us find certain joy in not being lazy and shifting gears.

Like he said, however you only have everything to gain. A 6-Speed (assuming were using the V-16X) V8 would be a beast. Obviously it's not the lightest thing on the road, but no doubt would it crush. But since the 3UZ and 2JZ don't share bellhousings, you need an adapter, in the Rides episode, Rod Millen took the 2J bell housing for the V-16X, cut off the tabs where it bolts into the 2J, and welded the bolt pattern of the 3UZ on the front, where the 2J tabs were which makes it bolt on, clearly not a bolt-on for us. However, if your trying to do it on the cheap, the W58 is nice, cheaper, more available, and a couple companies make bellhousing adapters for 1UZ to W58. There is a down side though, it doesn't handle more then a 350-400 rwhp, according to the IS guys. Start pricing some of this stuff out, and doing some research and I think you'll find your answer.
If it were me, I wouldn't spend that might time and money on something without dropping in the proper components. I would try to source a 6-speed from a Supra, no doubt a 5-speed is cheaper and easier to find, but I mean come on.... You will need the... transmission, flywheel adapter (to convert the GS430 flexplate in a flywheel, a little hard to find), clutch/brake pedals, master/slave cylinders and hydraulic lines, any ecu that the tranny might need, tranny mounts, and I'm guessing you will need a new drive shaft. Did I miss anything?
