I think that mechanical noise is normal, both my RX and GS make a slight noise especially if on an incline.

Have you checked the mounts?

All of my mounts (two motor and tranny mount) are new, but from what im reading in these forums, there is a rear motor mount??....and habeeb89 is right, its especially loud when you're on an incline....

Sounds normal to me too as I've noticed it since I got my car and thought there was something wrong when after owning it for 2+ years and sitting in other gs's ive notice the same noise, so year, nothing to worry about

when parked on an incline, before putting the car in park, step on the brake, engage the parking break fully and then put the car in park. and when getting ready to go, put the car in gear with your foot on the brakes and disengage the e-brake.

this eliminates the car "sitting" on the transmission when you put it in park, and will make it easy to shift into a gear from park.

Definitely the engine and/or transmission mounts.
