Default Suspension/Audio Question

Ok so if anyone has had experience with this pleeeeaaase chime in !!

I just received my Megan Racing Coilovers for my '01 430, and I Also have a custom trunk setup for my system. I was told That I would need to remove the system in order to have acces to the WHOLE trunk to be able to install the coils. Is there anyway to maybe remove part of the system to have access to where the coils bolt up? Do any of you guys know exactly where in the trunk they bolt up? I really don't have the time/money to have the whole setup removed and then re-installed after, any advice would be appreciated ...

For pics of my trunk setup check out https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ok-like-5.html post #67

To get to the shocks you need to pull the carpet out along the sides, the way your box is made it would be hard to do without removing it.

You will definitely need to remove the center box. Its way too large to work around.

Do you think i would be able to move just The angled side pieces on the sides of the box? Or Is the whole thing going to come out? I spoke to the shop that installed it and they told me they could just remove the angled side panels but I don't know if thats enough?

As far as I can see I would say no, it does not look like there is enough room. You might want to have those angled parts removed and then let the shop look at it. They may add additional labor to the job since they will be strugling to access the struts.

yes it looks like the side parts of your box are blocking the carpet area that hides the top part of the suspension that you would need to be able to reach to change out the coilovers.. sucks that you have to do all that to swap out the coilovers.. but it will probably be worth it

I agree with that, but you still don't have a lot of space to work with. but should be enough!

Thanks, I'll let my mechanic know and see what would be easier for him lol, I just never thought it would get in the way when I decided to do the system first
