Default How are your tires?

I am looking into buying a GS400 and would like to know how common this inside tire wear problem really is and if it is for sure a problem I will have if I purchase one of these cars. I have yet to see a poll to see how many owners are experiencing this problem and what kind of suspension and wheel setup they have if they are or are not wearing their tires . I understand that frequent alignments are necessary but am interested if it's only lowered cars. Only up sized wheel cars. Only a combination of both. Only GS400.Also stock 16" wheeled cars. If this is a repeated subject post I apologize.

Please respond to this, since I think it will definitly help all members as well as my self.

Please answer these questions:

0 Yes, Fast inside tire wear
0 No, tire wear seams normal
0 GS400
0 GS300
0 16" Wheels
0 17" Wheels
0 18" + Wheels
0 Lowered Suspension
0 Factory Suspension

Default Tire wear

I got about 15K on Dunloop SP9000
On 18"
Extreme tire wear on the inside.

to my fault the car was only alinged once after the Shocks and Springs.

If your going with lowering and new springs and shocks re-aling or check alignment every 5K miles.

This should prolong your tire life.

I thought that this thread would generate more responses at a faster pace than it has, with all the other threads about the inside tire wear problems of other members. I guess that it is not as big an issue as lead to believe by those other tire wear threads.

Plus I want to keep it on the front page of this forum.

This is my second GS with stock 17s, although this one has the L-Tuned suspension.

Tire wear has always been normal.

Perhaps you answered your own question....

In a nutshell, monitor your tire wear frequently, and get alignments done more often if you drive enthusiastically.

On my stock 17" setup I had outside tire wear because of poor alignment. Still got 18K miles out of the tires, but they were bad at the end. With my new Dunlops and a good alignment they seem to be holding up great.
