Default Formal Introduction

Hey guys, this is my first post on the forum. I've been hovering around here for a while getting idea's and learning stuff about my ride and i just wanna say that this is truly an awesome forum! I'm a full time college student at Penn State and I purchased my 1998 Lexus GS300 last summer and have been saving my nickel and dimes and modding her a little bit at a time. So far here's what i got. I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions of what i should do next. Thanks for looking.

19" Staggered ASA's with custom Lexus Center Caps. (starter set of rims)
Tanabe DF210 springs mated to KYB Gr-2 Struts
LED upgrade inside and out (75% done)
Black Pearl Emblems

Looks nice. You will learn a lot from these forums. Those rims remind me of 7- series rims althought they are smaller. Welcome to the club

haha that's true about the rims. One thing i forgot to mention is get ready to spend a lot of $$$ on your car to really have it the way you want it.

Default You need a slice of Brother's pizza on the hood, some sticky buns from the diner....

on the exhaust manifold (to melt the butter), and a beer from the 'skeller. Otherwise, car looks great.

I recommend an SRT intake (there are several for sale at any given time in the classified forum). Painted calipers? I think they look great. Strut tower brace? a little underhood candy.

enjoy the car and enjoy happy valley.

best

Welcome and congrats!

Keep it simple and cosmetic while you're in school... make it subtle but different. My suggested list:

Find a grill you like (and also a black pearl front emblem if the grill has one)
Set of LED tails in 2001 style (with white, not amber)
Lip spoiler
Slightly larger exhaust tips
2001+ gauge cluster
Maybe a TTE Lip

Look for all this stuff in the classifieds here when members are selling.

As DaveGs4 was saying, those are all good mods.

A strut bar would make a nice mod, if you want something inexpensive a strut bar of a 93-97 Aristo will fit, they can be found on eBay for between $50-$100 shipped and will make the car handle a little better in the corners.

Are you going for more performance or exterior type mods?

Hey guys, thanks for the positive feedback! I wanna try and get my exterior done and then work on performance mods and a conservative sound system. I'm trying to come up with some ideas for a system that would give me great sound quality but take up minimal space. I'll probably go with 2 corner fiberglass enclosures housing 10" JL w3 but built with enough air space to later upgrade to w6's. The things i really wanna do this summer is, HID kit, TTE Lip spoiler, 3 pc. Spoiler or TTE spoiler (depends on how funds are), get my bumpers repainted and paint my calipers. The Clear coat on the rear bumper is pretty much gone at the top so that' a top priority. If i get all that done and still have money left I wanna upgrade the brakes with some slotted rotors and some better pads. Don't really have the cash to upgrade to a BBK yet, just need some eye candy for under my rims for now. haha
