Default Deciding between these alloys - help please!

Just after some advice from you guys (and girls) please!

I'm just looking at popping some other alloys on the car as I fancy a change from what I've got on their right now!

Anyway, I'm sticking with 18s as anything bigger wouldn't last a day on the roads I'm driving daily here in the UK, and have seen both of these sets of alloys come up at a good price - both are proper JDM.

Both sets probably are going to need some TLC, ie refurbishing straight away, but wondered what you guys think?

You don't tend to see this sort of style over in the UK which is why I'm looking for something a little bit different - and both of these give that.

Offset wise when I bought the car it had these TTE alloys which are for the IS and so are tucked currently - one of the reasons for swapping.

I'd be getting either of those first two sets at a good price, the thing is historically I prefer the IS and GS with a 5 spoked design, and I like the black on black look, so the black wheels in the pic above I think would be best - but then looking at that pic the lips look nicer on the 6 spoke silver rims, and when I get them refurbed I can always get them done in black - so either way it's a win win situation for me really!

So which do you guys think would look best?

Thanks in advance

what color Aristo? I'd say the silver wheels, personally. They don't look dirty as fast and can SHINE when polished up!

Thanks guys - my car is actually that black one in the third pic so it's to go on there

I'm just working my way through the black onyx thread to see if I can find anything similar in there on a black GS!

I guess this is the closest I've seen so far to those wheels from the van on a GS:

Looks good

All I'm thinking now though is maybe it's too black as I've got dark tints all around now?

ones on the van = Work Euroline Dish Model
ones on the ground = Riverside MAE

the Eurolines have been done on a lot of 2GS's, if you search around you should find quite a few pictures of those.

I think the ones on the van look quite flat and are not going to be as dishy or aggressive as the ones you posted on the black GS or as any of the others you may find pictures of. the MAE look like they may be a bit more aggressive and as you say you can get them painted black when you refurbish them if you want.

i'd probably go the MAEs

edit - throw up some widths and offset specs too if you like then pple can tell you how they;re likely to sit and if you will need spacers for good fitmet etc

I say MAEs in black, they are like no other wheels. They definately describe the look you are going for. Good luck with your decision though and post up pictures when you get them.
