Power locks/rear windows/dome light inop>>>
They all went out at the same time. I did a lot of searching and reading on the forums. I've read about the actuator problems (i have at least one bad on/off for a while),the possible master switch problems etc. It has to be something all related. Like stated above, the power locks will not operate from the master switch or the key. When i open the front door(s),the dome light will not turn on. When the rears are opened, the rear reading lamps do turn on. And today i realized that the rear windows do not work from the master switch, but they do work from their own switches. It seems that a master switch may be in order for maybe one of the symptoms, and maybe even an actuator or two for the other. But all the symptoms??
This just came on all of the sudden yesterday.
BTW:the courtesy lights on the bottom of the doors still work on all 4. I did check fuses and they seem to be ok.
Any suggestions?? Like i said i did search and find several leads with individual problems, but this has to be one issue causing all this. I appreciate any help!! Thanks....
I've gotta get an ETM for this car

Didn't work.
Does anyone know what's actually in the master switch that can go out and cause all of these problems? That's only IF that's the problem. I was told that that may be the suspect because many things run through the master switch.
Any help is appreciated

I did see that. I bought 4 motors on eBay,but i don't think that is the root of all these problems. I do believe i have one faulty R/F actuator. I am leaning towards the master switch. I want to get a hold of one and try it out.
Before you replace the master switch check the wiring harness in the crease of the door. Over time those wear out and crack and get exposed causing numerous problems. Check the connectors going to the master switch to see if they have power with the key on. If they don't have power you will have to backtrack the wiring harness. As for the courtesy light check and see if they get power and its just not a bulb out. If you find nothing in the door with the harness check your power distribution block that supplies everything with power. Sounds like a pain and it is ,but it might save you from buying a part you don't need.

I appreciate all the detailed info. I will look at some of that tomorrow. We actually got in a 99 GS in trade at work and early this morning we were swapping parts to see if anything worked. Master switch..NO....driver's door ECU...NO....pass side body ECU...NO...we will try the driver side body ECU tomorrow morning. After i find what it needs,i can then buy what i need. I wouldn't take parts off that trade-in,that would be wrong
