Red face HID Bright went out

Does anyone have a good idea on where I could find the cheapest replacement HID bulb for one of my brights.

My dealer wants $400 just for the bulb and another $30 to install.
That seems insanely expensive.

Thanks

if theyre factory, you have HIDs in your LOW beams, not highs.

in that case, you'll need a D2(S? anyone correct me if i'm wrong). Check out xenonking.com or xenondepot.com. You should buy in pairs, I'd suggest 6000k.

if theyre really HID in your high beams, youll need a PnP 9005 HID bulb, again, check out xenonking.com or xenondepot.com.

D2R not D2S. D2R is for reflectors, D2S is for projectors.

That's nuts...Check HIDplanet forum, you can get some for $50. In fact I might have the OEM bulbs laying around, I switched mine to Ultinons 6000K.

I've got mine sitting right next to me, Phillips 4300k.

PM me if you're interested I'd take $50 shipped for them.

Smile High Beam HID

Thanks for all the information.
I just went and double checked and they are the High Beam.
Bulb is located in the smaller head light with the driving light.

Lexus told me that if my fog lights are yellow when they are turned on then I have the HID brights. If the fogs are white then it is a much cheaper bulb.

It sounds like there are some cheaper ways to go than the dealer on this one.

I won't have any money until next week. At that point I'll see if any of you still want to sell me your bulbs

sounds like they're talking about the HID lowbeam housing in the gs400/gs430 being HID bright if the fogs are yellow, the gs400 had the option of HID housing, gs430 as standard.
the gs300 came with clear foglights with its halogen headlight housing.

anyways if you do have HIDs in high beam then,
wow, HIDs in HIGH BEAM.

sir,you know how to get attention.

Well I just looked on
xenonking.com and they say it is a low beam so now I'm confused.

MOST likely, you are wanting a replacement in the LOWBEAM, d2r.

I would upgrade both. B/C one HID bulb new and one with thousands of miles on it will not burn the same and will look different.

Good time to move up to maybe 5000k-6000k for a more pure white.

okay, i know the problem and the confusion and will fix it.

the HID cars came with yellow fogs to offset the color of the HID's. They are saying that if your car has yellow fogs you have the HID lowbeams. If they are referring to them as brights, it is incorrect.
