Default OEM Navigation install??

I've been looking at the DIY section to https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...=radio+removal but are the plugs on the A/C and OEM Navi the same as on the A/C and OEM radio?? So i can swap the OEM radio for a OEM navi.

I see this is an old post, but I'm looking for the same answer, except I want to REMOVE the touch screen out of my Wife's 99 GS and put in just the climate control unit so I can put in a nice double din DVD\NAV system.

swapping an oem radio for an oem Navi requires alot more than just making sure the plugs fit, Trust me it is not "Plug and PLay" you will need the Brain the cpu from the car with navi the gps module.... harness..ect , there is a thread on it already , good luck

yours is simple plug and play....OP yours is NOT. would take ALOT of time/work to do this one and ends up being cheaper just to put a aftermarket gps in

So it's much easier to go from OEM radio to Aftermarket radio with Navigation.
