Bingo.

Just respect the car is still that quick as it nears the 200k mile marker...

the closest track to me is like 3 hours away. test and tune is on fridays so i would have to take a day off of work. I know the car can run faster than that.

Have you tried emptying the car?, Doing the run on a 1/4 tank of gas?

The speedometer is going to introduce uncertainty in your measurement process and so is your reaction time. If you can't go to a track you could try a g-meter. I have a Bel GX-2 and I was getting high 5's to low 6's with it. Pretty much inline with what the car mags say for a stock GS. I haven't test it since I modded the suspension and intake. I'll have to do that sometime.

My gs3 goes from 0-60 in about 7.6 days....

forced induction is a necessity.

I use a g-tech pro and can consistently get 0-60 in the high 5's. My best time is 5.4. Still saved on my gtech. That run was on stock wheels and 2800tc. On my 20's i get high 5's low 6's. oh yeah its an '02 gs430.

ok i tried another run today and it was even colder. it launched like a bat out of hell. didnt even chirp tires. 6.4. thats better. im going to try to get a gtech or something like that so i will get more acurate reading. drag strip is over 2 hours away. so that sucks.

Check your plugs and your air filter. I have 174k on my gs4 and I got 6 secs flat with stuff in the trunk. I also beat an acura tl about a car and a half to 70 just for a second opinion.

i need new plugs but air filter is fine. i also have the 17's so i wander if that would slow it down some. How did you check time?

Stop watch. My younger bro was riding shotgun. He is about 140lbs. Try a powerbrake launch around 2000 to 2200 rpm and let it rip.
