I just installed it and all I have to say is WOW. The sound is Grrrr, mean. The response from the engine is very noticable. The look is awsome. PICS TOMORROW. I got the chrome with blue tubing. The Cold air box did not match up quite perfect and wasn't quite worth the $150 for 3 pieces of bent sheet metal. The intake by far is a great deal. Much work goes into the filter (Dragon), mandrel bent aluminum, nipple welds and misc fittings.

At High way speeds there is a slight whistle wich was almost taken away once the Cold Air Box was installed. Im going to dynamat the inside tomorrow. Overall VERY happy with the purchase.

I thought only hyper intake would fit with cold air box. Also Leo mentioned before that hyper intake is more suitable to V8 than the dragon intake.

 

if you use the 4" dragon filter its fine.

 

I love mine also, let us know how the Dynomat works out, and the ECU.

Actually the New Dragon Filter is better than the Hyper Filter.. I mentioned it in previous posts.. The only Major difference in the Hyper Filter and the Dragon is that you can take the dragon filter apart to clean.. The performace difference is major, in behalf of design.. The Dragon Has a larger Velocity Stack, Air Guides, More Surface area inside the filter for Volume of air.

Actually if you wanted to make the Airbox at a Professional Fabrication Shop, It would cost you at least 3 times what you paid for it.. I think it looks good and Some minor tweeking because it's metal.. But i know it does a very good job, did you ever try the intake without the CAB? Their is a big difference..

Can you help me out with some questions regarding your filter? I am interested in using this in my heavy duty application.

1) What is the Dragon Filter filter element composed of? On your website it states that it uses a "Heat Resistant Polymer." Is your filter element similar to HKS's or GReddy's "sponge?"
2) How well does it filter dirt in respect to K&N's oil and gauze technique?
2) Could it be cleaned or does it need to be replaced?
3) Does your velocity stack utilize the Venturi effect, i.e., Stillen or Rod Millen Design?

As far as the filter housing it's heat resistant polymer, the foam is polyeurthane.. Same as the Greddy and HKS..

that's one of the steps, but you should really get the cleaner kit.
It comes with a cleaner solution and a oil re-charger..

any difference?? or is it just the same pipes with different filters?

Weapon R intake with Dragon intake and Cold air box. The air box will have a plexiglass window with a blue neon stick on the inside. The filter is made of chromed plastic and should reflect quite nicely.
