Default popping noise

hi u guys..im getting this popping noise almost everytime i reverse my car and then step on the brake...im trying to figure out what it is since it's very annoying....anyone have any ideas??? thanks for your input

might be your ebrake adjusting itself. or... maybe your pads are moving when in reverse.

Brake pads moving around...there's a TSB to put grease on the pad clips....just collects dirt and makes it worse. Either try and clean the clips or replace them.
Constant battle!

I was getting a sound similar to this. I opened up the e-brake and it was worn to nothing with dust everywhere. I just adjusted it all the way in and it hasn't been a problem.

It's normal for the pads to move around in the caliper. They will click ONCE every time you change direction(foward/reverse). If it continues to click in the same direction after hitting the brakes two times or more then its not normal. There's about 1-2mm of play in there. If you're getting a constant clunk all the time, epsecially on turns and inclines...then that might possibly be the ball joints.
