Default need help. gs300 wont start

okay heres the issue. yesterday, i was driving, and out of nowhere, the car died, then came back on and was running fine, i continued to drive it, and then it just shut off, and wouldnt start backup. i had it towed to my brothers shop, and when i got it there, we started the car and it turned over no problem. BUT while the car was dead in the road, before i got it towed, it would turnover, but not start. so i get it to my brothers shop and it started. the car ran fine for almost an hour without any problems or dieing out. so i drove it home. it ran fine the whole way home. this morning i go to drive to work, and the car wont start at all. it turns over but it wont start....

has anyone else had this issue? i need this car as its my dailydriver to work and such. much help would be appreciated.

battery/alternator. the car may have been running on battery and then it just drained out. but when you turn off car the battery could have replensish itself to start again.

The way youre describing it makes me want to rule out battery and alternator all together. Reason being is that if it was the alternator, you wouldnt be able to run period. The battery would be the only source, but only for so long and then it would die. Period. The car wouldnt be able to crank over, no power. Once the battery is drained and your alternator is dead, there is no way the batter can recharge by itself. It needs something to generate electricity to recharge it.

It sounds more like you may have a loose or dirty connection in a main line, possibly even a break in the wire somewhere. If thats not the case, it could be something in your fuel delivery system.

It may also be that your transponder is not being recognized when you are starting the car. I got a couple of blank keys cut this weekend at a local locksmith and I tried to start my car. It would turn over but it would not start because I did not program the transponders I had bought on ebay yet. (I just wanted to try it for $***$ and giggles)

Maybe try replacing your battery in the key although I am not quite sure that could be the problem. Valet Keys do not have a remote on them but are programed to the car and should be able to start the car.
