Smile Temporary 30 day storage

Well the time will soon come for me and my wife to leave NC and move back to NorCal for good. However, due to working arrangements with my company, I will be storing my GS4 at our old home for about 30 days before I can return to drive it back to CA. Here's my question: Is there anything special I need to do besides disconnecting the battery assumming the car will be in a garage for the next 30 days? Is it even necessary to disconnect the battery?
Many thanks...

I would leave the battery hooked up and use a Battery Tender to maintain it while your gone.

Battery Tender is a good idea but if it's stored indoors or you aren't worried about break-ins you could just disconnect the battery as that is free. Wouldn't be a bad idea to get an oil change when you get back and also store the car with as little gas as possible. Other than that you should be fine.

30 days the battery will most likely be dead.

Thanks...Car will be stored indoors so I'll just disconnect the battery. As for the oil, that's on my list since I will be driving over 2800 miles from NC to CA
