you mean they gave you $6000, but it was worth $8500, right?
Because if what you are saying is true, than you got a better deal
I said it right. Blue book of 6000 and carmax gave me $8500. Everyone told me that carmax never pays good so I didn't think I'd get the GS300 unless they gave me $8000 or more. When the guy came back with the appraisal of $8500 I was shocked and I paid for the car to be shipped immediately after. I'm confident that I made a good choice. I've always wanted a GS300 and it had half the miles of the scion and after driving it for a few weeks now, It gets better mileage than the scion did and i was able to get an additional 5yr/60k mile warranty. It motivated my boss to give me a work truck so I don't have to put miles on my car. It worked out all around. Now I just have to get rid of my other money pit so I can start working on the GS
I've been to carmax with other people who were buying cars and what carmax has to offer isn't always the best. My friends mother test drove an explorer thats radiator blew out. They had a grand prix that blew a head gasket on while we were on a test drive and something else happened that I can't remember right now. I remember it was 3 cars that had problems.
