whats up guys i just bought a 2003 gs300 sport design is an amazing machine but i have this noise that i dont know where is coming from i think is from the dashboard like a squeekee soung and is driving me crazy u guys had that problem? please if u did tell me so i can fix it

welcome to CL.

As far as the squeek it could be the following:

Sunroof

steering wheel (directly underneath the gauge cluster)

or

glovebox area


try using the search button, probably tons of topics on this .

take it back to where you bought it from..i think they will fix it for you

I too just bought an 01 GS300. When I turn the car off and the steering wheel goes up and back it sometimes makes a squeaking noise. It sounds like a lubrication problem but it's difficult to tell where the noise is coming from. Any clues?

yours sound like maybe the gauge cluster plate if the sound is coming directly from the front of you above your steering wheel, but hard to tell without actaullly hearing it yourself, you can easily just pop out the gauge cover panel with a pick tool or a plastic pry bar, and drive the car around to see if you still have the "squeekee"

yea sounds like my steering wheel noise in the summer time, when it gets warm like the season now, every time i put in my key or remove my key and the steering wheel adjust itself it sounds like the gearing needs to be lubed up
