yup. but im still not to happy about the whole V-6 stuff... are you sure its gonna be a V-6??? i know in japan they are introducing a 2JZ with a direct injection system where the fuel goes straight into the cylinder and it makes like 45MPG or something crazy. its on of those super lean running engines.
Poor Sasha. Just don't hold back, I think you're about to blow! I like the I6 for nostalgic reasons. It should be kep in the lineup somewhere! Maybe change it from GS330 and GS430 to a GS330 and GS300TT with the 2JZ-GTE
But, overall, I really like what I am hearing (or reading). A V12!! Plug that thing into the LS! I'm so excited about the next few model years. I'm also glad the RX is remaining only 2 rows of seats, but getting a little bigger.
No I am not working for Toyota, nor any Lexus dealer. All I can tell you is that I am working for a major corporation has very close relationship with auto manufactury, includes Toyota...... :-)
Is there really a market for the V12 still, I mean, don't they sell like, 8 a year ? And can Lexus get away with charging almost $100k like BMW & MB or are they still considered rookies somewhat ?
No. I am not a spy and only a regular Lexus lover :-) It just happens that I do have certain relationship with Toyota through my work and personal contact. I have to agree the old way saying "the best way to share the secret that is not to ravel the source" (or something in that line). So, welcome to keep guess, I just can not comment on yes or no :-)
I don't think Lexus is considering themselves are rockies. Even only sell 1 V12, that will put them into the more competitive status, that will help the sales with other lines of models that really make the profit. This is the same reason why they want three SUVs. I am sure they know some of the LX & RX buyers will be GX owners. The idea is to draw more others to become RX buyers. People intend to more likely stay with one brand if they know there is room for growing. Not necessary like to stay with the same model year after year. This will also create the market force to people who get start to buying Lexus because what they will have some "examples" to follow. Like the relationship between IS & GS.
The bottom line is that I am glad that information is help all of us here in some way. And feel free to continue asking the question if you have one.
I haven't heard any engine updates from Japan yet so I don't have any premises to argue. Since Lexus/Toyota has cut some corners in their products I am hoping the new V6 is some type of Camry V6 head with a larger displacement block... kind of like the 470 engines -> 430 engines. Well if this happens you can slap on that Kazuma blower... whoopie.
A "friend" of mine has some pictures of the "new" GS...I'm trying to get them from him...I'll post (if I can...I may not be able to in order to protect him...but hey, if I draw a LIKENESS....) He says it looks BETTER than the current GS...looks like my GS is for sale now!

That's good news.
But what does he drive now? There's a big difference if he drives a GS or an Aztec.
