Default thinking about doing autox

My car has 147k miles, HKS Hipermax coilover, and G35 18" w/ Pilot Sport AS tires. I'm gonna go watch an autocross even this weekend and kinda getting the itch to run the GS and see what it does.

I'm just afraid of breaking something with 3800lbs to haul around the cones. Any suggestion/input? Any track gurus around here to give me any pointers? I don't care what class I'll be placed in (probably get the shaft for having coilovers), just wanna have fun and not break my car.

You shouldn't have too much problem. As long as your balljoints are good, then you're okay. I've done a fair share of autocrossing in my previous car and it was pretty fun. Our wheelbase is LONG compared to those cars out there so getting around tight corners might be a challenge. Just try not to WOT out on turns. RWD + open differential = l0se
