I've been driving with the check engine light on and off for a few days now. It usually comes on the third time i turn on the car. It'll stay on for a while and then go off again.

Today i was driving and i noticed that the light on the bottom of the driver's side door was on even while the car was moving. I thought my door was open but it wasn't the case. I couldn't figure out how to turn it off bu it eventually turned off by itself.

Later on today, i was walking back to the car and press the unlock on the remote: NOTHING. Doors wouldn't click open. I had to manually open the doors by turning the key. I got inside to manually open the passenger door for my friend and i could not open or close the doors by pressing the door lock/unlock button. I had to manually flip open the switch.

After driving for a while and then turning off the car, the remote started working again but it was weird. After locking the doors all the windows started rolling down by themselves. I had to go in and put the key in the ignition and manually put up the windows. When i came back to the car u press the unlock on the remote and the alarm went off - then the windows went down.

I've scheduled an appointment at Lexus of Queens, but the previous guy i saw isn't working there anymore - i really liked that guy.

Anyways, has anyone experienced anything like this? Any input would be greatly appreciated before i open my wallet to the dealer.

I'm on a '99 GS400 with 97K miles.
