Alternator generator connect removal.
After struggling to remove this last little piece, I finally gave up for the day and decided to see if anyone on here had any intuition as how to remove this little thing, and what would be the best way to attack it. I've tried from a bunch of angles, bottom, top, side, etc.. If anyone has any hints they would be very much appreciated. thanks.

ya, the last connector that plugs into the oval shaped port in the back.. I've gotten everything else off but this one is giving me trouble. I see that there is a little latch sort of thing on the connector, should i lift that up, press it down, etc... other than that its ready to be taken out.

To remove the alternator, do you have to remove the power steering pump pulley too? I have removed the two bolts and the electrical connections, but it won't slide out. It looks like the power steering pulley is in the way, but I can't remove the bolt as it's torqued on pretty tight. Suggestions?
Are the threads reversed? Left to tighten; right to loosen? I want to make sure I'm turning the bolt in the correct direction to loosen it.
