Usual GS MPGs?
I'm not trusting the EPA on this. What is the usual MPG of the GS300 and GS400? And what's the best possible MPG achievable?
I'm competing 3 Lexus's LS 1stgen (2nd best looking LS), SC 1stgen (best looking SC) and GS 2ndgen(best looking GS)
Thanks!

Depends how heavy your right foot is..
For a V8 GS however.....
It is possible to drive the snot out of it and still get over 14+ mpg in town
Treat it nice and you'll see 20+mpg in town, and 26+ on open road.
It also depends on fuel in your area, Ethanol blends will bring down your mpg's by 15-20% from my experience.

Hello,
I'm seriously considering buying an '04 or '05 GS 300 and was wondering about the mpg. I've got a '94 Q45a that's in need of several thousand $$ of repairs that don't make any sense to do and was wondering 'how the other half' lives.
I read on some other forum (not Lexus) the other day where many owners were claiming 30mpg or more (which seemed very strange) with their GS's, but now I can't find that thread. I live in Land O Lakes, FL & most of my driving would be at 55mph locally--significantly higher on the Interstate! I routinely got 17mpg in my Q & I drove the heck out of it so I was curious if that's what I could expect from a GS or if it would be more. Some of you have said you get 27 or 28--is that typical?
Thanks
