Default 2001 Nav Hack

Anyone know if there is software to hack the nav so it will function while driving? I know about the menu trick but I was hoping for a permanent fix....

I know on most afrtermarket headunits all it takes is grounding out a wire. im guessing it could be the same for the stock?

No idea. A buddy said he had a disc that cld be loaded into dvd drive to take care of it. Not sure if anybody else heard of that. I hate opening up the unit and all that.
