Default Telescopic wheel function lost

Last week I got in my 99 gs400 and the wheel tilted down to the correct setting but did not move telescopically. I disassembled the steering column and removed the telescopic motor from the assembly. When I used the switch to make it drive it does but when I put my finger on the gear wheel and apply light pressure It fails to work. Also when I push in/out to drive motor about 3 of 10 times I will not hear the contacts pulling withen the ECU and motor does not actuate. The weird thing is that I can push out/in on the switch and it will move only about a 1/4 inch and stops eaither way. I suspect either the ECU box or the motor itself. I did remove some grease of the gear wheel which I will have to find what viscosity of the grease but I can't seem to find these parts. Does anybody know where I could find these parts? What do you guys think, motor or ECU?

I would say it's the motor. You still got tilt, so not likely the ECU. Same thing happened on my SC. The motor went out.
