Default I have a question?

I have a 2001 GS 300 that came without Navigation, I had a Pioneer Avic Z2 installed locally, and it works fine.

Your question does not make clear if you mean can an aftermarket nav unit be installed or if the factory unit from Lexus can be installed.
If it's the first the answer is yes, many here have had it done or done it themselves. If it's the second question, Lexus will tell you it cannot be done but that is not exactly correct. It has been done but it is very costly and requires extensive modification to the car to accomplish. Do a search on this site, you should find several threads discussing the topic in which you are interested.

Okay, that looks like the factory navigation system. As I said in my previous post; if you ask Lexus, they'll tell you it cannot be installed in a car that did not come equipped from the factory with it. However, it can and has been done but is very complicated and expensive. Requires many parts and modification to the car's wiring harness. In the end, it would probably make sense to either go aftermarket or get a car that has it factory installed. It is beyond the scope of most do-it-yourselfers.
