Default gs 300 question

can anyone explain in layman's terms what the "calibration" feature is useful for in the navigation system.

you can calibrate "distance" and "position". I have no clue what this means or when/if I should be calibrating.

thanks in advance.

calibrating would be used when your nav is showing inaccurate positions. if you're at an intersection and it consistently shows that you're a good distance off...its time to calibrate. actually doing it isn't hard either
