Hey guys, I don't know if this has been covered before but I don't have time to search cuz I'm going to sleep ... I'm planning on getting either the Avic D3 or Avic Z2 soon (if I don't buy rims off my friend) and I was wondering if it was still compatible to our stock CD Changer? Maybe there is another product I can purchase to make it work? I know there is something we can buy so that we keep the functionality of the steering wheel controls, and I figured since this is a Pioneer navi and we have a stock Pioneer system that this could be done ... Someone please let me know
I know we have a bunch of crazy DIY people on here and guys that like trying cstom stuff ... Has anyone found a way to do this yet? Or is there a product out there for this, I've searched and found nothing ...
I think it is with a RF modulator. As far as directly I do not think it has been done yet successfully. Maybe Vaistech has something you can use to make it hapen.
whats the point really? Stock changer doesnt read mp3s only plain cds. I think buying the pioneer 6 disc changer and fitting it in place of the original is you best bet.
I have looked into this until someone hacks the stock changer and makes a converter there is no chance. But honestly I doubt that there is enough interest in this for a company to do that.

i agree..
but just burn all of the 6cd's in MP3 format. one CD will be plenty of music. no need for a changer.
Going back a year or two, someone here did a board in the swap for like 150. Search maybe in the audio section. Unless they delete posts the info still has to be here. You had to take out your changer and mail it to him. He would alter and send it back. I know we pm each other a couple of times. He had a few satisfied customers.
