thats a super vague question.

I think the first thing you should ask yourself is which one do you like better? Which one looks nicer to you?

Also the 1st gens are older and older usually means more maintenance and repair and all that.

There is a horsepower limit in JDM cars. Most people think it's different turbos, or boost level. The JDM turbos are weaker though, they can explode easily under high boost.

the turbo problem isn't a big one cause i want to replace the twins with a single but other then that the motor's are the same right?

also would the gauges be able to be switched out so they can read mph instead of kph

there are a few diffs.. the us has bigger injectors and diff cams as well as non ceramic turbos, the us version has more power then the jdm version

but the jdm has the same power potential as the us right?

the turbo, cams, intake, injectors, exhust was all things i planned on changing anyway so they are not really a big deal i just wanted to make sure that the motors would be able to handle the same amount of power before i make my decision.

There are no US Aristos, there is only US 2jzgte, which was in the MKIV. If they are real aristos, than they are JDM.

This is correct. In BPU form the JDM engine lacks because of the weaker turbine wheels, 440cc injectors [instead of the 550's in US], and added emissions equipment.
