Default Camry trunk piece and spoiler same as GS???

So I was stuck in traffic and was spacing out staring at this Camry...

and I noticed that the trunk piece (where a lot of ppl get the chrome one) and the spoiler looks awfully similar to mine on my GS...could be just a coincidence that they look alike but do they share parts??

i don't wanna jack this thread, but its somewhat related...

i was wondering if the spoiler on my 99 GS is factory OEM piece since the brakelights doesn't have screws on the plate? My buddy's 99 GS4 has them, but mine doesn't. Im sure it was ordered from the factory when i picked up the car from the dealer.

Reason why im asking is b/c the LED brake lights stopped working and i need to replace.

Can someone chime in?

I'm guessing that its an aftermarket rear spoiler. We used to always install them if the client wanted to add it after they buy it without the spoiler. Some telltail signs that would indicate this is it would still have the 3rd brake light in the package tray. The trunk springs won't hold the trunk up at the half open position. The OEM spoiler has 3 mounting screws holding the 3rd brake light onto the spoiler.

In situations like this I call the dealership's parts counters for both Toyota and Lexus, no need to measure or guess anything. Call the dealer and compare part numbers, takes about 10 minutes.

Another option I thought of was removing my stock trunk bar and having it chromed professionally which would much cheaper than buying a $100 bar from the dealer. My only concern is that the chrome might end up being too thick causing fitment problems with the bar. I'm still researching...

Good point, but not all Toyota p/n will carry over to Lexus.
