Trunk W/ spoiler question
I got an OEM spoiler for my trunk that didn't come with spoiler. i adjusted the tension bar to the max, but still it's very loose. it will slam very hard when i try to close it. does anyone have that problem? what did u guys do?
(i know there are some topics about this, but i didnt find a good answer)

yes, the tension bars, which is also called the trunk spring. there are one, one for no spoiler and one for those with spoilers. the one for spoilers has a higher spring rate
I have adjusted it to high tension and woot, the trunk now pops when I remote release the trunk!
but a problem I had though, it bounces and doesn't want to lock and I have to slam it a bit to lock.... which had been happening before I adjusted the tension....

You can also try drilling a new hole for the tension bar so that it has more leverage/pressure.
I was able to increase the leverage by moving it over about 2 inches.
You just need to remove or fold back the side panels and drill a hole as far as you can from the existing spot.
I have the RMM spoiler and it did the trick for me.
