Default Noob 1 month summary...

I've had the car for about a month and car is beautiful but, these are my complaints and hopefully some of you can help me.

1. Drivers seat is starting to crack (on the left side)
2. Arm rest needs to be replaced because its cracked.
3. Some lights on the tempature console are out, i know there is a DIY for this but, i'm not tekky enough to fix this on my own..
4. What is the BEST conditioner for the leather.

I been trying to take pics to show you guys, but it's either raining or snowing. Want to make a good impression with you guys

Regards,

Rob

I wouldn't consider the cracking leather a complaint, since that was the previous owner's fault for not taking care of the leather, not a quality issue IMO. Only thing you can do for items 1 & 2 are to re-cover both. There are plenty of vendors that do 2 tone, leather/suede, etc. Nothing you could do about it since you bought used, but now you can prevent it by conditioning the leather regularly, which sounds like you are gonna do since you asked for the best product. Lexol, Mequiar's, are my favorite. And I think you answered #3 yourself, ie. since you aren't able to do it yourself, take it to the dealer. Hope this helps. And welcome to CL and congrats on your ride.

4. What is the BEST conditioner for the leather.

1. it happens due to the constant in/out movement of the driver (most used part of the driver's seat
2. look for replacement in classifieds or junk yard
3. check dealer. also, agree with veritek as well
4. i've actually heard Coach cleaner and/or conditioner works well on Lexus leather. Have yet to try it though. *DISCLAIMER* i'm not liable for anyone who tries this.

I use the genuine Lexus leather cleaner and conditioner from Sewell Lexus ... www.lexus-parts.com ... haven't tried the others but this stuff leaves my leather soft and smooth and smelling real nice ...

It's as simple as replacing bulbs, yet they will charge you an arm and a leg.
