Unfortunately, these are the only pic's I have of the head unit system for now? It sticks out about a quarter of an inch from the sides. The unit needed that room due to the tilt action!

wringo, sorry it is off topic. did you change the eclipse splash screen?
from looking at the oem double din kit.. i can move the deck in about 1/8-1/4 inch.

so, are you certain that the tilt action won't work if the deck was mounted 1/4" into the dash? anyway you can test?

It may work but, it will be a tight fit? No, I didn't change the splash screen.
