check your coolant reservoir. see if there's a crack in that one.

ok, I'm having similiar problems so I guess I can ride on this thread. I have the same code p0125 and also I just changed the thermostat. The upper hose build so much pressure, it popped off. Upper hose hot and pressurized, bottom hose is cool.

cross finger head is damaged.

so I put back my old thermostat and everything runs fine. The temp never go up and the fan comes on when hot. Still, the p0125 persist.

damn thermostat might have ruined my engine.

did you bleed the cooling system of the air the last time you took the coolant out?

sometime it would overheat till the top part and fans kick in.
its located inside the radiator on the bottom right if your facing the car.

oh cool...should be easy to change it then. did you do a chemical block test to check the block? there is a kit for rent at autozone but u have to purchase the fluid (5 bux) to test for problems.

i guess i will fiddle around some more.

nope i didnt do any test...its been running fine since the temp switch. if you do change out your temp switch, you should be careful because i broke my brand new oem one. that is why i bought an ebay one that cost 1/3 of what the oem is.

Having the same problem now with my 1998 Gs400.
Changed thermostat
Changed radiator cap
New fluid
Car still overheats after a while and the fans are not turning on at all.
I even unplugged the temp switch, but the fans still do not turn on.
Does anyone know what I should try next?
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
