I saw a GS300 or 430 the other day....was dark and couldnt see which......and the car had like 6 spoke rims that seemed to be large. They were silver. I was looking in the paper the other day and there was an ad for a Lexus dealer and they showed the new models and pics and I saw the same rims on a GS....are these stock for 2002 or are they the ones that are part of the package? What are they....17s or 18s?

I think I mighta seen them too, they don't look anything like the older wheels, and they looked like 17's.

yeah, I know the option is for 17s on the GS....so that must be them. Otherwise stock is 16. They must be using low profile tires as the rims looked even bigger than 17s, but Im pretty sure they are 17

 

are the chrome on these rims pretty strong?

 

Uh uh. I think the OEM 17's are 5-spoke. Stock rims are 16" 6-spoke. The spokes look kind flared on the 16" if that helps. Yes, those 16" rims on our new GS3 do look bigger than they are...

 

No, I disagree. These were not 16's. When I say they looked bigger I meant they looked like 18 or 19s...no way I can mistake 16 for 18 or 19. Anyways.....the 2002 had an option for 17 inch wheels....for extra $$....and I think its bigger 6 spokes....chrome was even more.

 

em, all i know is that they looked like the GS400 Platinum wheels. But they LOOKED 17, coulda been 16.
